Coaches are the center of gravity for all levels of organized sports. They are responsible for strategy, management and, most importantly, talent development. However, in business, especially in real estate, career coaching is catch-as-catch-can, and it is typically provided by senior managers, friends and occasional mentors. There is a new and growing trend for executives - especially those who are involved in career issues or transitions - to seek out and work with career coaches. The current economic picture has turned many careers upside down, so challenges abound for many of these professionals.
